SonicWall bolsters EMEA presence to support record year-on-year growth
Record growth is being further supported by office expansion and new hires

Security firm SonicWall has announced the opening of three new offices across the EMEA region, as well as a number of new strategic hires, as it seeks to build on record year-on-year growth.
The company is forecasting double-digit growth as it continues to grow its partner base, having already increased by over 45% since the firm divested from Dell two years ago.
The addition of new offices in Basingstoke, UK, Barcelona, Spain, and Dubai, UAE, now means it has a direct presence in 16 countries across EMEA.
SonicWall says its success in the region is in part attributable to new enterprise services announced during Q4 2018, which include zero-touch and cloud deployment of its next-generation firewalls, as well as secure SD-WAN delivery.
“By ensuring our channel expertise is always within easy reach and that we are committed to speaking local languages, we are better placed to understand and respond in a valuable way to our customers’ individual cybersecurity challenges,” said Michael Berg, Executive Director Sales EMEA at SonicWall.
“In July, SonicWall expanded its cooperation with the Middle Eastern and Eastern European markets after establishing direct relationships with local partners. The opening of the Dubai office this week is the next phase of our development in the Middle East and SonicWall continues to forge meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with regional channel partners directly.”
In addition to the office location expansion, SonicWall has also focused on recruiting industry-leading talent to lead its Enterprise Sales, DACH and UK Sales teams.

Michael Struss now heads the DACH Enterprise after joining the business from Silent Circle earlier in the year, while Jan Patrick Schlögell now leads the DACH Channel Team.
The company has also appointed Helen Jackson as Regional Sales Director for the UK, while the MSSP team has also been bolstered with the appointment of former Cisco Channel Manager Fabrizio Corradini as Strategic Partner Manager for Southern Europe.
Elsewhere, channel veteran Luc Eeckelaert is Channel Alliances Director and Mario Pucciarelli is Strategic Partner at Sonicwall for Middle East.
“Our boosted presence across EMEA is part of a long-term plan, and proof of our determination and commitment to strengthen SonicWall’s value proposition among our valued customers and partners within this exciting and rewarding market,” Berg added.
